It takes over 8 feet of rope to make an average rope art sign. Some of the bigger signs like "Happy Trails" take twice that much.
Our rope signs are made from 3/16" manilla rope. Manilla rope has a really nice color and has a hairy texture to it, which gives it even more of a country charm.
The rope keeps it's shape because it has a heavy wire inside of it. We can't tell you how we get the wire inside the rope (it's a secret), but it's all done by hand.
The first piece of rope art was made by Ira over 40 years ago. It just took a few years (around 35) before he realized people wanted to buy it.
Cowboy Up Originals has used over 20 miles of rope to date in the making of rope art signs.
